
BSH Home Appliances announced on October 1, 2015 that select models of their dishwashers have been recalled for risk of fire hazard. Owners of Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore Elite, and Thermador dishwashers may be affected by the recall.
Bosch Dishwasher Recall 2015 Information
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), 149,000 dishwashers sold in the U.S. and 45,000 sold in Canada have been recalled for the risk of an overheating power cord, which could potentially start a fire. If you have a Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore Elite, or Thermador dishwasher purchased between January 2009 and May 2014, visit the manufacturer’s website (linked below) to see if your dishwasher qualifies.
To check if your dishwasher qualifies, write down the model number, serial number,and production code located on the serial tag on the top of your dishwasher door as seen in the picture below.
