How to Repair Dishwasher Top Rack Adjuster Part Number W10712394 (W10350376 no longer available)
If your Whirlpool, Kenmore, or KitchenAid dishwasher top rack won’t slide (or is wobbly), the problem likely has to do with your adjuster arm. Over time, the plastic pieces on the dishwasher adjuster arm become worn down, which can cause the clips or wheels to crack and break off. When the adjuster rack breaks, it makes the dishwasher rack difficult to slide front to back.
To fix the problem, start by identifying the failed component. Visually inspect the rollers to verify if the rollers or adjuster assembly are cracked. If you notice the large gray piece holding the rollers (the adjuster) is cracked or the wheels are missing, then you’ll need to replace the rack adjuster. Whirlpool recently updated the adjuster kit to include sturdier, stainless steel components—we recommend that you order the updated part number W10712394.

In early 2015, Whirlpool released a new dishwasher adjuster arm assembly: part number W10712394. Your parts schematic may recommend the old part number, but this is the replacement part.

Kit includes: 2 Adjuster Arms, 1 right and left adjuster actuator, 2 gray adjuster covers, 2 gray adjuster housings, 4 screws, and 23mm rollers
How to Replace Whirlpool Part Number W10350376 (old adjuster)
If you have purchased adjuster arm part number W10350376, then these instructions will help with the installation. Please note that this part is no longer available through Whirlpool or most part suppliers.
This adjuster arm will look identical to the part currently installed on your dishwasher manufactured before 2015. Part number W10350376 only comes with one adjuster, so if you need both sides repaired, be sure to order a quantity of two. Most large part suppliers no longer carry this part, but you may be able to find it on from online retailers while supplies last. (We recommend using the upgraded part W10712394, which is much more stable).
